Stored ship vanished

Can anyone explain what happened here? I've been playing the game for awhile. Built a station and stored my military ship there while I used my civilian ship to do some contracts. Purchased some extra weapons and put then into my cargo hold. During all this time I was being charged hangar fees. When I returned to the station the military ship was gone and no more hangar fees. The only possible clue in all this was that my credits went quite low, 2 mil. Did this have something to do with losing my stored ship?:(

2 million is somewhat high for something like that to occur, but it could be possible depending on what other fees and charges you were paying for at the time. If you run out of money, your stored items will be lost.
