Blue sky bug

Post by Cheri50000 »

Hi, guys!

I noticed something strange. When I go about 500 sectors away from any direction (north, east, south, west and up and down) from system quadrant like Sapphire system and I when fly out anywhere from about 50 to 500 sectors from any of the system quadrants, I get the strange blue sky like if you are in the planet's atmosphere, but when I use the jump drive once, the sky color changes back to black like what it should be when out in space. Please check it out. Thanks!!

Cheers,
Vincent

You may just be passing through the hazy nebulae at the edges of various systems. Out at the edge of both charted and uncharted systems, there is often a nebula region you will pass through before moving into another area where there are more planets/stars.

I actually experinced that once a few builds ago. I set my coords for all negative 9's and max jumped from planet Rivoch. I found myself in an area that was a baby blue 'haze'. I traveled through it at 7000 m/ps for about an hour before I gave up and relogged at my last save point.

I also experienced it once too. I made one more jump approx. where I was and it was gone.

Yes, I think the blue sky bug should be fixed. Is there any nebulae when flying from Sapphire to Andromeda? Thanks!

If you like, please send me screenshots of what you see. Yes, you will pass through several nebula layers travelling that direction, probably at least 3 or 4 just to get to Vonari space.

Two questions:
  • Where's Dale?
  • Where can I get a Mercenary version of that cockpit?

That appears to be outside the scope of intended/regular game operation, so please send me the steps to duplicate via e-mail as I can't seem to duplicate it with the description above.

Dale went out to get us another six pack

I can barely find parts for it let alone get you a full cockpit!!!
