So we started playing EM a few days ago and now are at the point where we want to build our military rank. First thing we discovered was you have to survive to get mission credits, that was a no-brainer.
Now that we took our first steps in EM-combat we just do mission after mission in a warzone. But one of us is getting almost double the ranks the other player gets and we just can't tell why. We do our missions together, both are surviving, both have almost equal kills... but one player is rank 39 and the other rank 15.
Can someone shed some light on this for us? We obviously are missing something but probably are too blind to see >.<

question concerning military rank
mil rank increases 1 point per waypoint plus 1 point per 10 kills
civ rateing increases as above plus 1 point for every 500,000 credits you earn

question concerning military rank
Cool, thanks a lot! So it's irrelevant how many missions you complete? This would make the patrols most efficient I'd say...

As Capt_cronic pointed out! So one of you is getting more kills then the other! From post: 129417, Topic: tid=8838, author=cronoise wrote:So we started playing EM a few days ago and now are at the point where we want to build our military rank. question concerning military rank
Not really, because you can do one way point mission at a time that involves killing 10 Vonari's which overall pays you better then a 5 waypoint mission per waypoint. From post: 129488, Topic: tid=8838, author=cronoise wrote:Cool, thanks a lot! So say a 5 waypoint mission pays you 100,000 credits and a 1 Waypoint mission pays you 22,000 then 5 missions of 1 waypoint earns you 110,000 credits!;)

For rank it seems it would be the maxing waypoints and minimizing the number of ships encountered there... so my first guess would be something like a 3 waypoint mission with 4 enemies at each waypoint, meaning 4 points to rank increase.

A 5 waypoint mission with 12 enemies at each waypoint at 500,000 credits will give you 12 points towards rank, do 10 of these and you have 120 points!....
