military frames and crew

i dont really want to lose my crew who are at 100 skill and loyalty to own a military ship.

any suggestions on a way to prevent this and/or any suggestions as to any alternatives

Nope. There is no way out. You can have only one crew member on a mil ship and we didn't used to have even that!
If you park your civvie ship in a hanger, your crew will take liberty and never come back.
I for one share your feelings and will keep my civvie boat a little longer.

Start a second profile ... a military one. The only real drawback will be it takes longer to gain rank as twins.
