Disappearing planet bug? Spoiler alert!!

After completing my last trade run from port oasis to hidden planet, it was time for my first exploration trip out into the unknown.
I took off from the hidden planet straight up along the Sy+ with a distination of Sy20000, a couple of hours later i reached Sx3588 Sz -1828 Sy10000 and didnt want to go any further.
I turn around and was meet by the sighting of this huge dark brown planet and instantly i was jumping around shouting like a mad man forgetting my wife and kid was a sleep

this was really one of those moments i was looking forward to have in this game so i started fly towards the planet.
After 15 min of manual flying and the planet still being the same distance from me i started warping one sector at a time
soon to be replace with 10 sectors at a time till i reached Sx 3592 Sz -1827 Sy7809 i found that this was the location of the planet/brown thing.

well to make a long story short, if i go further then this point towards the planet it disappears and if i go back the planet comes back

That's a pretty weird anomaly you've stumbled across! Looking at your first screen shot, at that distance from a planet it would take you less than 15 minutes of manual flying to reach it. It is possible that you jumped past it so that it was out of visual range, and some planets don't show up on the Nav Map. But from your description it sounds like that wasn't so, in which case I'd have no way to explain its mysterious dematerialising. Strange things have been reported before by pilots who ventured way way out into uncharted space (check out the screen shots thread). That's the first time I've heard of a ghost planet!

I've run into a glitch that resulted in something similar, and as I recall it was started by flying into a gas giant, then warping out while looking backwards (or something like that). It created this huge, "one-sided" shell that disappeared when you flew through it, and reappeared when you flew back the other way.
