New here, looking for friendlies

Long time space sim fan. Used to be heavy into Freelancer now trying to make a home here.

Looking for people to talk about the game with via Skype, Ventrilo, TS, Mumble, and play with as well!

I've gone through the tutorial, manual, and played single player for awhile. Still figuring some things out but could use some direction.

Welcome aboard, Tototex! Lots of friendly folks here. Lots of helpful folks here, too. Log-on to one of the multi-player server offerings. Ceti-Alpha V, Starport 6, and the Galactica 1 platforms seem to be of the most popular and most populated of those available. It's good you've seen to some preparation and game-education early on. You should do well enough. We've all kinds of pilot-refugees from Eve, FreeLancer, X, and such like. You may have found the home you weren't really looking for, here in the Evo-verse. Buena fortuna!

Any time you're in multiplayer and have a question, just ask. If you're not sure anyone is watching, press the tilde key (~) and a list of those currently on the server will show in the upper-right corner. Open Chat with the Enter key and type your question. If you can't get an answer while on line, post it here. Lots of volunteers will likely respond.

Try joining a clan, im pretty new too and having that little clan tags brings a lot to the game

Personally i'd recommend LL (large starting bonus - i mean millions - and a kind of roman theme that i like) but chose one that fits you

I'm on TS3 almost all the time ask some of the regulars here for the server address. You looking to join a clan anytime soon? I need a hunting partner lol.

Thanks for all the tips! Put in a few hours last night and I am definately addicted (dangit).

I'll be looking for a clan soon and always happy to fly with partners. Especially since I still don't know my way around.

For a clan, have a look in the Clan / Role Play section of the forum. As a friendly word of advice: some clans may try to actively recruit you by advertising to you how great their clan really is and how much money or awesome equipment you will receive if you join them. Don't feel pressured in any way to join any clan.
I would have a good look at all the clans around and make up your own mind as to which one is best for you.

I do like the idea of a clan stimulating gameplay. I've read through most of their intros. I have a few in mind but want to see how they are in online.

I threw up a ventrilo server for anyone who likes to talk. Its unlocked for now and capped at 8.

Viper is, of course, correct - don't let foolish advertising pull you in!! Look at clan activity, presence on a server, how many times they post - thats what ive been doing :/ lol The game is more important than the money, and each clan has their own distinctive styles of game play, as im sure of Rebel friend here will testify, right Viper? :p
