Server issues

Thought I would start a new one.

Okay My system is a dual core amd 64 bit 6200 with 4 gigs of ram running win7 ultimate 64.

I got past the direct x issue and ran the server.

Now I am only trying to connect locally not via the internet.
No firewall and that computer is not allowed on the net. Although it has access to any other machine or server.

the ip ends in 103.

Now when I start the game and try to connect I get one error message. That either the ip is wrong or being blocked.

Also the cpu line is red and the # fluctuates between 11-20.

I was thinking of reverting to 32 bit xp pro and seeing if this will help.

If you have any other suggestions I am open to them. Oh ya the computers are connected to a gigabyte hub and all ip's are permanently assigned by the router so Ip's never change. And I also turned off the router firewall just in case.

Now I am trying to connect with the beta version which differs from the sever version in case you need to know.

I think that covers it. Hopefully I posted this in the right section. If not forgive me while I get the lay of the land.

Oh I have no problem connecting to MP mode with the game on the internet. Just can't connect locally to my own server.

You cannot connect to your own server. You must use a LAN to connect

Ya I am using a different computer all together. my ip is 192.168.52.100 and the server is 192.168.52.103. So that should be good.

Just to be clear the server is on a totally different computer then the game. But thank you for your input.
