Yes, please. Especially for #1, the constructors, please add info about when/where a given build constructor may be used. Include all the if/then decision points please, because I'm getting messages indicating I need to be within +/-50k when trying to place a Trade Station - in a sector that doesn't have a trade station, so I can't figure out why I'm getting the distance message for this at all.

2. I believe a plat mining beam will only pick up platinum, so it won't start filling cargo slots with metal alloys for instance. Should work in the same way as normal mining beam otherwise. (not actually tried one, just guessing)
3. Yes, there are better jump drives out there. Take some finding though.

1. As far as constructors go, I've only used a deploy constructor so far, but essentially you can choose to deploy any of its stations from the 'Deploy' dropdown menu in the HUD. A very useful one is the fuel processor.
I believe you can only deploy one of each type in each sector, when you leave the sector, the station you deployed is destroyed (by sector, I might mean close vicinity). There is no cost for deploying stations. You cannot deploy a station somewhere where it will be in another object, like a planet or other station, though you can deploy in atmosphere.
Hope this is useful and not innacurate.
Think Vice did a training video on these and uploaded it to youtube.

(Much better explanations from Eclipse:))

> Deployables do have a "small" cost, I think based on player wealth.

I didn't know that. Will have to keep an eye on my account next time I deploy something.

 I believe that all items are locked to the parameters of a deployable sensor array (optimizing program code by using the same subroutine). Ergo, they cannot be placed in a location which would overlap into another sector.

I've not placed a deployable yet. Does that mean a trade station may only be placed within the center four cubes (at 1x zoom on the nav map) of a sector?

Pretty much, yeah. Although you can usually put it at a far corner of one of those inside cubes.
