... the position of the chat frame!

Hi@all,

Vice would it possible to make the chat frame floatable?

As you can see in the following picture, its located on pos(200,100). My screen resolution is 1280x800.

I would like to have it in pos(0,0) or (10,10) because when a lot of messages appear its in my sight.

Thanks for this great game!

You should probably use an image hosting site that doesn't have a load of popups.

Come on! there's only one ^^

So Muni, about your problem... you should perhaps just wait a bit. because if Vice fixes it in the next game version this change would be there in everyone else's game... and I don't know how many other players would be in one opinion with you changing the position of the chat frame.
Have a little patience. When the cusomizing kit is available you can make those changes on your own ;)

It can be moved, but its default position is in the upper left limit of where it can be placed (it's rendered as part of a 3D surface), so that option wouldn't achieve what you're after. My suggestion would be to either use the mouse wheel to move lines of text that you don't want away, or hit the numpad * key when needed to clear the list.

I know it was not possible in Legends to move the chatframe so i thought maybe in Mercenary.

Hmm... maybe you could stretch the gui over the complete screen? What is the technical reason of this behaviour? In higher resolutions where are the chatframe... in the middle of the screen?

Its not a real problem, but i am curious! ;)
Thanks for your suggestion!

If I'm understanding the question, it's mostly to accommodate a wide range of screen resolutions (4:3 in addition to 16:9 and other widescreens) and also so lines of text do not get split across two monitors (for multiple monitor setups). As the screen gets wider, more and more of the scene itself is rendered on each side, what is rendered in the forward ~60-degree angle or so remains consistent.
