So...I was mining for a good ten minutes somewhere in Sapphire, and got my 4 cargo hulls full of diamonds and platinum. When I went to sell it at the station nearby, my ship suddenly blew up (maybe I bumped into something?). I loaded from my last save, and found myself in the station with my shield indicator blinking, and no shield power!
I've waited for them to recharge, and nothing.
I've shifted power to shields from weapons, and nothing.
I've tried to equalize my shields, and nothing.
I went to the shipyard nd bought a new level 2 shield...and nothing.
I've looked through the key binds for one that deactivates shields (why you would do that, I don't know), and found no such bind.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Check the key bindings again. Shield and weapon energy can be modified ... adding to one will subract from the other.-

It happened to me once. it was lice Eclipse wrote. I have actually accidentally sol my Shield Booster:o

Yup. Somehow sold my Shield Booster. And it was an X3.

Yup. You could've sold your engine when no replacement was listed for sale.
