First I would like to say That I am so happy to have found this game and it's community. Ths scope and execution of EL is mind blowing and the forum community seems like a really good group of people.
I am a long time simmer, I first started playing flight/sim games all the way back on my commadore 64 (Am I really getting that old?) Now a days I have a fairly powerful gaming rig with a Microsoft sidewinder 2 flight stick and a TrackIr4.
So far I have downloaded the EL demo and I have been spending my time practicing in the tutorials and reading through the forum to bring myself up to speed. I hope to purchase the full game by the end of the week, I'm also in the process of trying to recruit my friends into this game.
Lately I've been playing games like: X3, freelancer, FSX, Falcon4, Arma 1&2, IL2, Bridge commander, Sins of a solar empire, Mount & Blade, Lock on, the Total War series and so on.
But not one of those "Space games" holds a candle to this beautiful little gem that is Evochron. All the features and functionality that I always wished were in games like X3 or freelancer are right here in this deceptively small package.
So to Vice and anyone else involved in this games devolpment I would like to say, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
This is the game I've been waiting for!
And to think, If I had not done a late night google search for "Space games" I may never have discovered Evochron.
That could have been tragic.
So, For now I'm going to practice, practice, practice and try to familiarize myself with all the ships systems and the goings on in the verse. And i'm looking forward to becoming a part of this wonderful forum community.
Cheers!
