A hostile ship followed me part way down towards the surface of a planet and I fought it while burning half the time.

I once went down to the surface of a planet to rescue somebody that ran out of fuel. After I gave him some fuel to get into space, he flew too fast, started burning and blew up.

Went to save a fellow pilot when he ran out of fuel, thinking he was abit far form the nearest station. Instead, I found him directly above the docking bay doors, out of range of the tractor beam and with several hostile ships around him. Needless to say, it was a rough nudge into the station.

Once, one of the new folk was lost, -1 on the Y axis, 'bout +3 or so on the X, out of fuel and drifting at +2 kps away from anywhere in Saphire. Didn't know how to lay in a nav plot, just barely familiar with the nav console. Tole 'em in chat, how to send a trans pos msg in the F1 nav-con, which they did. There were several other veteran pilots aboard the server that evening. None of us were all that close. Managed to hit Saph Prime from the Oasis Bar & Grill, via points outward. Had 'em send another trans pos when I finally hit Saph Prime, 'bout 5 minutes into their drift. Got the co-ords nailed in navcon. Punched the GO button. 4 hops later, was close enough I had the drifter on visuals. Hit the AB a touch, toggled kybd M, matched intrinsics, and opened hailing frequencies. Got 'em to open up the F4 trade screen, after some persuassion and careful instruction. Managed to transfer 90 units of fuel, got 'em "oriented", patted 'em on the haid, and sent them on their merry way....

(Wanted to know how much they owed me........) :P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P

I once had a 3 versus 2 battle. Sky king and Flash (now [FF] Flash) against me and 2 recruits.
My recruits were still new, so I decided to put one of them in my gunner seat.
Turns out, after my first recruit died against the unending stream of gunfire from my opponents, I could take them both out with my gunner.
My recruit did a good job! Let the other one rest in peace. Or should I say "Rest in pieces"?

I once captured a Vonari inside my deployed shield array.

He looked so funny. Angry as only a fly can be that can't reach that pile of Sh..!

I just had to moon (Show him my butt) him for a while before ending his misery LOL!:P

Early on in my career in EM and in [HB] I always sent a "hello" via chat when an [HB] pilot greeted me as I entered a station in an [HB] system. What a friendly Clan I've been blessed to join I thought! Bit disappointed when they didn't respond though!

Imagine how I felt when I realised that the greeting was from the [HB] station control :P

My only excuse is that I was so busy docking and such that I didn't read the chat carefully enough! :P

 I still do that when I first log on (during the week) and dock at an [IM] Starbucks ... thinking Starbuck must've taken a vacation and was on line.
