New Evochron Mercenary miner

NO. I'm not a juvenile kid! :P
I chose the mining role.

Really liking the Idea of the whole open ended (heck, just skip any idea of story) type of gameplay.

Although I've barely started playing, I DO have one thing annoying me.

And that's the lack of info about MY cargo on the hud.
(yes I can pres F3 to see the cargo screen)

I know there is at least one mod saying it gives the info (together with location info), but I found the version that was provided on the steam forums (I have the steam version) a bit lacking and "bugged"
First off. It was optimized for the supplier's 1920*1080 resolution and I have a 1366*768 resolution.
second. That supplier wasn't a miner kinda guy and thus disabled the cargo info, so it needed to be enabled first.

Needles to say. After enabling and using the mod I could readout my location on the hud, but couldn't see where the cargo info could be found. :(
(and if it was there, it was unclear)

I also doubt this particular mod would give the full info of my cargo bays.
(Amount plus type of cargo in all 5 bays)

Does anyone of you guys know a good Cargo HUD mod for the avid miner/trader roles?
(and maybe other things useful)

Trying to search through the mod forum for anything useful is a damn unsatisfactory task without any "rewards".

Anyway. Thanks in advanced. :)

I sympathise - but it isn't too hard to use F3 to go to the inventory screen - I think Vice's view is that the main HUD should have the main stuff you need to fly and fight and leave the max amount of cockpit window space for look out of :) (to see who you are fighting and where you are going!)

I use EM_Tools and have no probs with it - but I am lucky enough to have a second monitor :)

EDIT: you can get it from Seejay's website http://evochron.junholt.se/menus/downloads.htm

 I've had my cargo displayed on the HUD since Legends. You don't get nomenclature, though ... you get a readout of quantity and a code number.

I prefer NOT to flip out the F3 inventory screen JUST for my cargo bay, because it is obfuscating that "main stuff you need to fly and fight". So a HUD extra that can add JUST the cargo info would be better overall.

Also. For someone who focuses on mining/trading, the cargo bay content could be even more important than what you are targeting.

I've looked at it's readme txt file and it seems you either need a second monitor OR another PC to use it (over LAN).
I have neither. :( (this is a Laptop)

Which mod do you use for this and how do you set it up?

I agree with GTX2GvO about having cargo info displayed on hud, like other lill infos about target or whatever is important...

i'm lucky enough to be able to use EmTool trough lan with another comp. and it's really useful

 More info: IIRC, the display of items on your HUD is placed in the hud folder. Mine looks like this ...
1
0
200
255
0
1
271
46
1
332
56
You open Notepad, paste the above ... and save it as a data file under the name "hudtext" (hudtext.dat). Then put it in your hud folder.

You can change the location of the information show on your HUD by changing some of the numbers on the file that Marv shows and that information should be listed in the customizing kit notes (I hope)!

Yep. Found the hudtext.dat file and it's info in the customizing kit.
(Had to search for it)

Lines 7 & 8 are for the cargo X & Y positions.
Lines 10 & 11 are for the nav info.
Claims to take values from 0 till 1023, but somehow I don't believe this.
(anything above +/-500 on those lines places the info outside the view)

 The high-end numbers are for positioning ... and depends on your screen resolution. I think.
