Mission to Sierra / What next ?

I currently have 8million credits with a Guardian.

My next Quest mission takes me to Sierra. When I enter that sector, there are mostly hostile (Navy) ships. Is that normal ?
What I gather from the quest message is I need to dock at Sierra Station to get my next assignment. Should I hire a fleet to provide cover while I dock ?

I read that the Talison WZ is the easiest warzone to survive / gain military rank which would allow me to purchase a MIL ship. Should I go to Talison before I attempt the Sierra missions ?

When faced with overwhelming odds near a trade station, your best bet is to dock and then quickly enter the shipyard. But first, check to see if you'll be required to do a contract at said station ... or if you're only going to get a new message. If it's only a message, quickly dock and then jump away ... the message will be listed in Chat. You'll not only save yourself from having to repair a damaged ship, you'll also save on docking fees.

It took me several tries to complete the IMG mission to destroy the enemy ace. Enemy ships would warp in after 30 seconds.

With one exception (the race), you can do the entire Quest in multiplayer ... where you can get help from other pilots.
