My name is Agent Zirdik and I am brand new to the EM universe! I am a huge fan of Space Sims, favorites including Freespace 2 and X3. I have heard great things about this game, and the naysayers have only said that it's "too complicated" which is just another thing that turns me on! I have not purchased EM yet because I am hoping that Steam will put it on summer sale, but rest assured you will see me in multiplayer before to long.
If there's any quick advice for a starting player, then please unload on me because I am excited and eager to learn.

It does contain some spoilers, especially on the map. However I would particulary recommend going to > downloads > Book of Hints v05 (compiled by DaveK). This has enough reading to keep your thirst satiated until you get the game!
I've run through the demo's tutorial a couple of times and watched all the online tutorials as well. I will take a look at that website and wait impatiently for the summer sale.
