Just popping in to say hi to all the folks here.

Me:
Ex-long-time-EVE player (3 accounts but sick of the way the community seems to be heading in recent years),
First Space-Type game i played was... ELITE
later i moved on to Freelancer, homeworld, the X-Series, Sins of solar empire etc etc.
I also play Arma2 (hosting a ded server there which may have to make room for this game, we'll see), though i am currently on a hiatus from MP gaming. i guess working in customer support for years including some GM jobs for various MMO's took the patience for idiots out of me.

Just started to re-watch the Babylon 5 series which put me back into space mood (Chris Franke's soundtrack is awesome btw) and so i started to search for some up-to-date space game. This brought me via a few forums and reviews to this game.
Played the demo (much too short imho :( ) and straight away ordered a key.
Now i am waiting for that to arrive... seems like theres no service on sundays.

I am very forum active and will lurk a lot.
My specialty is Hardware problems so i reckon tech forums will be my main focus, hehe.

i guess that sums it up for now.
Looking forward to hop on some MP servers once i got the hang of the games controls but i mainly do the carebeary things like trading etc.

oh n.b. I would like to offer my own music to be used as backing tunes (royalty free of course) i wonder if someone in charge reads this or if i may be pointed to the right contact.
some samples of what i do can be listened to under:
www.soundclick.com/mcspeedfreak
not everything there would be useful though...

Welcome, if you come to MP we can help you with these things.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Hi and welcome to a great game/community.

Music can be added to the game by anyone. Download and read the Customizing Kit here:
http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmerce ... nloads.htm

Just host the tunes and people can download and install them.
If you need hosting, I'll happy to do that on my site if you want to.

Hop on MP as soon as possible. Much faster learning there.

Catch you out there;)

well-back in space :)

i still play Homeworld 2, some large scale strategical battle, slurp, yum yum

i was even lookin at the Complex mod for Homeworld 2 but dunno if it's cool enough..

In EM it's like the tactical side of H2, in my mind, i do love it, and it's so much laaarge...

though i would love a mix of h2 and em for only some things, as the radar 3d map in h2... if we could have a maping device which translate flying data into a 3d map like this it will be just incredible... (dreamin awake)

Hi and welcome to the game and to the community :)

I know it's not the same, but you can reload the trial as often as you want - at least you can practice the basics and develop a feel for things whilst you're waiting for the key :)

Hi and welcome. I went to your music site and I have to say I was rather impressed. Most of the pieces weren't exactly to my taste, but still quite pleasing and from what I heard had a professional polish to them. Even the one you labeled as unfinished. Of course I don't normally go for electronica, but these were good.

Vice could do a lot worse than use some of these, but seeing that this is a commercial game that Vice makes money from, there are legal considerations. You offering your music royalty free in a post isn't a legally binding offer or document.

Anyway, Welcome to the community.
