Hi everyone,

The name is Jerry and I just wanted to drop a quick note and say hi to everyone.

I think I am in love with this game.

By way of background, I have been playing space sims going way way back. Even before Elite I was playing Stardog on my Atari 520. Actually, even before that (in the late 70s), I was playing VTrek, and a space empire game (whose name I forgot) via the ARPANET on a PDP-11 at MIT.

One of my earliest favorite space flying games was Descent, but I was a huge Freespace fan for a long time, also Bridge Commander.

I had been missing having a space sim for a couple of years, and then a friend pointed me in the direction of Evochron. Frankly, I'm blown away. It has everything I want in a game, exploration, combat, development, coop multiplayer, etc. Not to mention the flight model which is fantastic!

I've only been playing for 5-10 hours or so and am still just feeling my way around. I've read most of the Strategy Guide, Instructions, and a bunch of the stickies here at the forum. It looks like a fine fine community and I am looking forward to meeting you.

Anyway, enough rambling, I just wanted to say hello and let everyone know that a new addict has joined the forum!

Welcome aboard, 60x420 - dba/aka Jerry! Both to the game/sim and the forum community. Lots of helpful people out there. Lots of those like yourself. All you need do is ask, once you've made the "leap" to MP-space, regardless of game-server platform. Have lots of fun with this! Hope to see yaz out dere, sometime!
