Greetings all, I'm Legacy.
First of all I'd just like to say thank you to everyone here at the forums, as although I have only been lurking for a short while, (and owned the game for an even shorter while) everyone has been massively helpful in assisting me with the basics of this game.
I've not yet tried the multiplayer, but could anybody give me a little insight as to what it's like? I'm completely new to free roam space games in general. I played a little Battlestar Galactica Online a while ago but nothing on the same simulation level as this.

Hello Legacy, you should enjoy MP as most players are very helpful to new players. There are 4 to 7 servers up at any one time and most players hang around two of them at this time. To find who is on a server all you need to do is right click over its name and a count down will begin. At the end of the count down it will show you the names of pilots on at that time. You can even ask to join in on missions for training and profit. Welcome to the forum and the Sim. Have fun and hope to see you in Multi-Player sometime.

Do join MP. Since everyone is very helpful, you'll improve much faster and have fun doing it.
I recommend you do the IMG quest as well. It will teach you the basics of the game and pay you as well.
You can do that online in MP as well if you want. (Except the Race contract).
The profile carries over between MP-SP and vice verse.
Hope to see you in MP;)
