Evochron Merc - Rescue Escape Pod Mission

Hello everyone. Just got Evochron Merc the other day. Right now, I'm trying to do the rescue escape pod mission.

For some reason, after accepting the mission at a dock, I go to my waypoint and I don't see any damaged capital ship or any rescue pods once I get to my waypoint. Where do I go to find the escape pod? I'm so confused.

help me out here, thanks

Welcome aboard!
Once at the waypoint, you should see a little pink blip on your HUD display. Aim towards the blip. Once in range, you'll need to activate your mining/tractor beam with the key (ALT B for continuous beam). Need to be pretty close to the pod to collect it. Then you'll need to deliver it back to where the mission tells you to. Rinse and repeat.

The best way to find them is if you jump in with 0 pitch and 0 compass heading then go at the 0 heading for about a minute. If you see no purple blip (its purple for me) then just hit f2 to get back to the stat and pick another direction like 90 and repeat till you see the blip. Done Deal. I almost pulled my hair outta my head till i started doin it this way.

Actually, the easiest method is to engage inertial while still at the station, initiate the jump ... and coast until you see the purple blip. You will, eventually, always see the purple blip. When you do, disengage inertial, throttle up, and head for the blip with tractor beam on (Alt B).
