My ship seems bugged. it says equipment 5/5 meaning all the hardpoints are full. But all my equipment is in my cargo bay. Now when i try to equip them (by right clicking while in station) it says the hardpoints are full.
Even the inventory shows nothing is equipped. I have a starmaster frame and everything used to be equipped.
The reason this happened (i think) is because i was fiddling in the shipyard yesterday just before my laptop shut down (Forgot to plug in the adapter Duhhh ) And for a while after that i was unable to login.
When i logged in it'd crash the game immediatly. So i left it for about 15-20 hours or so i guess. Now i can login but as stated above i can't equip my hardware.
Any way to "fix" this if it's even broken? Or am i screwing up somewhere, which seems to be the most logical explanation as i haven't read/seen/heard much at all about bugs.
So your equipment list is blank, but it says 5/5 slots are used? If the equipment list is full, you won't be able to install any new equipment from your cargo bay until you either uninstall existing equipment items or expand the equipment limit. If it's something else, posting a screenshot of your inventory console may help.
That's pretty strange. I'd like to see that profile, please send it to me attached to an e-mail. For now, try left clicking on each equipment slot while you are docked to see if you can 'clear' the entries to make room for transferring the items from your cargo bay.
Most of the time, players use the top profile slot. If you do, the filename will be pilot0.sw and it will be in the default c:\\sw3dg\\EvochronMercenary folder. Send it to the address at starwraith.com > contact
Make sure you have both a shield "bolted" to your ship and a shield boost installed as part of your equipment. The boost won't do you much good without the shield and the shield won't last very long without the boost.
The shield booster being in the cargo bay instead of the equipment list is the cause.
As mentioned in e-mail, you can either use the profile I repaired and sent back to you which already has the items moved from the cargo bay to the equipment list for you. Or you can enter a station hangar, store the items from the cargo bay into the hangar, then click on the 'Equipment' button on the left side of the hangar menu, then transfer the items from the hangar back onto your ship in the equipment slots. Either way will put the items back onto your ship.
Seems I had the same issue.
Am a new player, travelled to Harris and was playing in the shipbuilder and hanger pages.
Then when to the items page and sold off some of my equipment. tried to buy new stuff and it told me that the equipment hard points were full.
Had empty equipment slots but was showing 3/3.
Cargo holds were empty and i could buy stuff and put in the cargo but not install as equipment.
This bug is a bit of a pain as if it happens much later it would be a game stopper for me.
Anyway, deleted my profile and will start the game again.
Nice game, relaxing, needs more music though and I hope the quests get a bit more varied.
