...is that I did not discover this game sooner. I am one of the steam rabble that ran into this little gem. The thing is, I've always had a desire for a game exactly as this one is. I tried E.V.E., and well. It was boring beyond all reason. Evo Merc though, is very well made. I love the combat. Absolutely love it. Though I have just started, and don't know all the ins and outs yet, I find it intense, fun, fast-paced, and just overall amazing. I love trying to balance all my shields while distributing power, reversing the thrust for the approach, swapping ids on and off, all while keeping my ship centered on my adversary to finish them off.

I see myself playing this game for a long time, and I hope to get to know all of you, and one day be able to go toe-to-toe in a dogfight and come out victor.

I must warn you though, I'm a very fast learner, and quite eager to practice and learn from only the best. You'll find me in the USS server, in Alpha C.

Bring it.

I just love your attitude. "Bring it". Excellent.

I did just that when I started, challenged the best I could find and learned from the fights.
I still learn something from every fight, even if I fight/teach noobs for practice reason.
All pilots have sweet moves, even if they don't know it yet:P

I'm more than happy to do some combat training with you whenever I'm online.
I live on the USS and visit the other servers every now and then as well.

Greetings, fellow pilots.

I didn't want to open another "hello, new pilot here" thread, so i tune into this one. Like potato, i'm one of the steam-crowd myself and was also looking for a game like this for quite an eternity. Finally my prayers must have been heard somehow.

Since then I stroll around on the USS Server, mining, trading and getting shot at.

I also read SeeJay's (excellent btw.) "Book of Hints and Tips" which I recommend to all freshmen out there for a decent heads-up on what's going on.

Looking forward to seeing the future development of this awesome game.

Yep. Yesterday I learned not to jumpdrive out of a construct-hangar

Yes, there should be a "Jumdrive for Dummies" tutorial as what not to jump in through or out of!
The next one should be "Advanced Jumpdrive for Dummies" tutorial as how to jump in, through or out of objects!..........
