Hello there,
Thanks for all the help! I am getting further along each day.
It seems to me that I saw somewhere a mention of how to set the X-52 pro throttle so that past the forward detent the afterburner would kick in.
Couldn't find anything when I searched.
Also, is it possible to engage a reverse direction thrust on the x-52 throttle by setting the zero forward speed to the lower detent and a reverse below the lower detent? And how would one do that, also.

Not sure about setting the reverse. I set my x52 up using the in game setup and the afterburner cuts in on full throttle. I use the E button on the throttle to shift into reverse mode. I disabled that buttons normal function it the Saitek program.

Though its not possible to setup throttle like that in game, it is very easy with the Saitek profile editor.
You need to setup bands for the throttle axis and program keys into the top and bottom bands.
Need to then adjust them so only the very top and bottom use the keyboard keys for afterburner and reverse+afterburner,
leaving a big space in the middle,.
Hope I explained that right?

There is also a little check box next to the axis that you have assigned as throttle that says afterburner in the in-game joystick configuration screen. If you check that, it will activate the afterburner when you reach a top percentage of throttle.
Sounds like doing it through the Saitek profile configuration tool as MiaZ described gives you a lot more flexibility though. I'm going to try that when I get home tonight.

The way I have my throttle set up however is with 6 Bands:
1. 0-8% AfterBurner (Key Press "Tab")
2. 8-16% Full throtle 100% (Key Press "0")
3. 16-80% Throttle = 16-80% (Throttle)
4. 80-86% Throttle = 10% (Key Press "1")
5. 86-97% Reverse After Burner (Key Press "Tab+/")
6. 97-100% Throttle is Off (do nothing)
You can Reverse the order of the bands but this is what works for me the best!.....

Thank you all for the tips.
I'll try them out this evening.
Any way to get a reverse thrust in EM? I don't think I have seen it.
I find it a bit awkward getting out of tight places without a backing up thrust.

Reverse thrust is by default the / (forward slash) key, combined with your thruster.

And to Reverse even Quicker you can use Reverse Afterburner with 'Tab+/" Keys....
