How big can the military battles be?

I am on the edge of actually getting this game so how big can the military battles or the battles in general get? I've been looking for a sim that could recreate the scale of battles such as Star Wars and whatnot.

Also, what is the multiplayer like? Is it like a MMO or is it with a player limit and different servers and if there are servers then how many people can get into the server.

One last question, how does this differentiate from X3?

Hi TackLed, The Battles are of various size from one to ? depending on the situation and/or mission. You can hire (AI) Pilots to build your own fleet in SP. There are various servers and the limit at this time is around 35 Pilots per at this time. They have all been near full lately. You can run your own server if you like and hold your own LAN sessions. I don't know about Star Wars. X3 has known Sim cheats ( I tried one and it spoiled the Sim for me:() and this Sim does not. It is an open universe to explore with planet landings asteroid caves etc. We have a great bunch of "Space Nut" pilots also. Welcome to the forum and hopefully the Sim. Are you talking about Arvoch Alliance or Evochron Mercenary? What Thetiebers described is for Evochron Mercenary....
