Broken Distress Missions?

I did a food delivery on a planet for 25 units. I docked on the planet's station and sold them my food. It wasnt a perfect stack of 25 it was 24 and some other random stack of food. But it said completed and gave me the reward. Now I'm finding that when I complete them like that again with 2 stacks of food it wont register that I gave them the minimum of 25 so no reward. Does the game require you to have a perfect single stack of 25? I don't understand whats going on here.... -_-

Yes, you will generally need a full bay of the item. However, you can consolidate your cargo inventory using Alt-Right Mouse Click. Do that with the 1 unit of the item and it'll be combined with the 24 (or vice-versa).

Jeeze I didnt know I could do that with my inventory... was trying to figure that out forever. This game really needs a wikipedia up that explains the missions and circumstances like I just dealt with lol

I need to update the current wiki with information like this. For now, there are pretty detailed instructions included with the game, kept in the install folder. Open the ReadMe.htm file to view them. They are something that could also be put online, which once I'm finished working on e-mails and pending test builds, I'll try to look into.

...wait what?! aargh, been playing for what feels like forever and I didn't know this. I've been tearing my hair off after looting reds & having small stacks of bits and pieces :DD

This was probably the best tip of 2012. Thanks!

Hi Fenrisulfr, welcome to the game and forum. Hope to see you out there some time. And yes, the combining of Cargo with Alt+Right Mouse click was added to the game a while back but I had forgotten of how to do it since I have not mined for a long time!....

You have to be docked at a station to do this. In open space it will eject your cargo!.....
