Would any of you be able to share an x52 Pro control mapping setup for EM?

Thanks,

Sure, here are my axis and button controls. Be sure to back up your current files before trying these out.

It is general better to make your own, because it is much easier to remmember and learn what button does what if you programmed it your self. It is not that hard to do once you figure out how to do it.....I have the regular X52!.......;)

Hi Vice,

Currently my computer will not open .sw files. Can you recommend a simple garbage free app that will open obscure file types like this?

i couldn't even find a reference to this file type on google. Only .swf files.

Yup, notepad works if you want to view them. But you don't really need to open them to try them out. Just replace the old files with the same names with the ones above to try out the configuration. But like I said, be sure to back up your current files with those names just in case you want to rollback to your current configuration.

When you use notepad to open the .sw files and make any changes, be sure to save it as an .sw file because the program defaults to .txt type file save. I learned the hard way.:(

Well, I spoke too soon...

I opened the file in note pad and I am looking at numbers.

What do they mean?

And how do I relate what I am looking at to the controls on the x52?

Thanks,

You use the game to determine what they do, you don't have to decipher the text files themselves. Once you place the files, launch the game and enter the Configure Controls menu. There you can try out the configuration, observe the axis channel input indicators as you move the stick/throttle around, then observe which buttons do what in the key and button control menu (a green bar will appear when you press a button that is mapped to a control displayed on the menu).
