Newbie question about Coop in Mercenary

Hey. So I've been playing the demo today of Mercenary, and I enjoy the game and I'm thinking of buying it, but the biggest question for me really is how the coop is? I have a friend who is interested too, but is it basicly singel-player but with more players? Can we fly through the whole world that we can in SP, can we do the same things we can in SP? Or is it just coop oriented missions?

Yes, all of the above you can do in Multiplay!....You just complete the missions and contracts faster doing the mission together with other players that are online or you can go around explore the Universe.....

Hello Mavericko, Welcome to the forum and hopefully the Sim. Missions are an option not a mandatory function in MP and SP. You can explore forever in both. Have fun and hope to see you in Multi-Player sometime.

MP is a lot like SP ... you can even carry over your pilot profiles. But MP has a few extra perks not available in SP.

Hi Mavericko, and welcome!

For example, you can link up with another pilot and let one of you fly the ship and the other be the turret gunner. Also, you can join up and do missions together and both gain in rank and credits. But it's certainly not just mission-based; you can do whatever you like. There are a couple of trade routes that are not available in SP, you can explore the galaxy (and contrary to a lot of other games, there is so much uncharted space to explore in Evochron that I bet you'll be busy for at least the next year).
I'm probably forgetting a couple of things, but it comes down to the fact that it's entirely up to you to decide what you want to do. One thing is for sure, you will find the most friendly and helpful community online. There is a lot of fun to be had in terms of role play between clans (they can control whole regions of space) or between clans and indies. It's a great place to spend your free time and I would choose the multiplayer over singleplayer anytime!
