Downloading Update

So I just went to play and was informed of an update...followed the link and the only file I can see is the full version (later edition than I have) - I am guessing that that is the update but need someone to reassure me that if I dowload and run that file that I won't kill my progress or pilots to date.

Hello 8Blue_Wolf8, don't worry. Each update IS the complete game but it will not over write your player info or effect most modes if you have any. It is however a very good idea to back up your Pilot profiles in case of a hard drive crash or (lol) human error!:)

Sorry to bug then but where does one find the Pilot profile file?

No Problem. Look in the main game folder. Mine is on my C drive as follows: C/sw3dg/EvochronMercenary. You would look for files that look like the following: pilot0.sw or pilot1.sw and on and on depending on how many pilot slots you have used. Your map logs are in the same place if you have made any and look like the following :maplog4.sw and the number "4" in this case indicates the 5th map log you made. The numbers are one off due to the first one being a "0" instead of a "1". Hope this helps.

You can edit your own posts to add knew thoughts such as this one so that you have less posts also.
