Missiles wont fire

Ok, Im new(ish), got a few slash marks on my holster and a few dead carcasses floating somewhere in the void. Ive just upgraded my ship to a raven with 4 harpoints but my problem is this. Sometimes the bloody missiles wont fire. Ship is targeted, Im hot on his/her arse I press the missile fire button expecting a pretty trail to come out from under the wings indicating a missile in flight....and NOTHING. Press again...nothing. What gives? Do I need to be a minimum or maximum distance to fire?

You have to wait until it says locked after you target it. You will loss your lock at times so be prepared to fire when you see the lock signal.:)

Yup and if I'm correct your missiles require a certain level of power to be present in the buffers in order to be launched. If you're all out of power, for example after taking a few hits, they won't fire as the ships systems are using all the remaining power to maintain hull integrity and/or recharge your shields.

Watch for the red "Missile Lock" flashing on your HUD display. Depending on the range of the missile you have loaded the missile lock will automatically come on when target is in missile range and missile lock is aquired!. Also at jump speed of 10k you can not fire missiles!.....;):cool:

LOL...Slider!.....sometimes the obvious need to be said, the obvious is not always obvious for some!...DUH!....relatively speaking that is, although it is obvious that relatively does not speak unless the one who is talking his name is Relatively......;):P:P:P:P:P
