A Talon Box?

This thing was around when I was fighting von and moved around just watching. Is this some sort of new technology?

Mec, it may be a member of the Vonari Clan. If they were observing and not engaging, it's probably a good thing. Most of the Clan Vonari pilots I've seen and flown with, are pretty decent combat pilots. Now, if you look close enough, ye may spot an alliance/federation ship's frame. All the more credence they are Clan Vonari. Having said that, in one of the builds, we had "incursions" of vonari-like craft, in the Cerulean System. The game AI registered them as Vonari, all classes of Vonari frames, but flew very differently. And all the frames were of one design - spheroidal saucer. Like the Unknown race from another place.

It would make sense if one wanted to disguise it's self so I would not kill it, I can't recall me ever leaving any Vonari survivors

Great work on the pic, Mec ! And, there's even been one of these "borg cubes" floating around. Was in reality, a salvage crate model that someone had managed to substitute for a Talon frame. It even said "Talon" and "Navy" on the target/radar ID MFD. Followed me around the Arvoch WZ for quite a while, once. Go figure....

Yeah, same texture as crate boxes, only bigger. I would love to change the Vonari textures to borg just for fun, but I don't know how

Porbably use the game code in the same manner that LeatherPoker crafted his cpaital ship mod. A thought.

Twice as mysterious considering a mod should only show up for players who have the mod installed on their own computer.

You're right Marv. And, the screen shot Mecingo took of his "encounter", depicts the very same crate/cube that followed me around the Arvoch WZ. Only then, it was accompanied by a Renegade frame, not a Vonari frame. Curiouser and curiouser.

I don't know if this stuff was hard-coded by Vice or the game has finally come to the point of consciousness where it can re-write itself.

More probable is that it's someone who's extremely familiar with the game code, and is having a Grand Gaffe.

Next time the "cube" is encountered, check tilde/scroll lock keys for server-status. Another clue may then be revealed.
