Thrustmaster Warthog Profiles?

Post by Silence »

Anybody got any profiles for the Thrustmaster Warthog that they would share with me? And I don't have the Thrustmaster Elite Rudder Pedals so if you have that in your profile it need not apply.

Well I was only able to get it because of the large refund with my Saitek X65-F plus another payday. I think it might be to much joystick for me though, plus if nobody knows a lot of people are having the LED lights stay on even after computer shutdown on the throttle, I think the joystick really needs its own sim-pit to really shine, I prolly should nail my ruddar peddals to the floor if I'm going to use them, to bad they are Saitek, and not Thrustmaster cause if they were Thrustmaster I can connect them all up in the same virtual device.

The LEDs staying on is probably because they are still getting power, the USB hub continues to provide power in most cases after shutdown.
No not powered USB hub just computer USB ports and I'm not the only one with this slight issue. might be able to tweak a bios setting though. Oh well I'm not going to freak out about it or anything.

Just wanted to post an aside note...did a good setup with my saitek x65f ...was looking at the warthog and just couldnt justify the xtra 200 it has taken some time but starting to get the feel of the x65 cept when the fur flys...then it gets a bit spastic..not good at fine control yet (or at least consistant) started with renegade because i was having a brain malfunction when getting the game would you believe i been playing for 2 weeks and just realised I didnt have mercenary...major brain stroke...so all those millions i made had to start all over again and that really bites as my trade run is less lucrative at this time lol...awww well on the upside more ships and great game. took a bit of work to profile a working control setup with the saitek though and it is a work in progress.

There is another company that makes some pretty nice pedals that interface directly with the Cougar. They also have versions that are direct USB. This might be a good match for the Warthog. This company only makes rudder pedals and originally they seemed to be pretty Cougar centric. The web site does not have a lot of info, but I would be shocked if they did not support the Warthog. Contacting them may be worthwhile.

Nice! They seem similar to the pedals above, but also seem to have some additional adjustments for ergonomics.
