Military ships?

On my travels as a newbie i have come across some military ships for purchase but it says my rank is not high enough?

How exactly do i go about improving my rank? i have done some quests for the navy (I.M.G i think about 6-7 of them) but my rank is still 0 and im still a trainee? am i doin the wrong quests or have i just not done enough of them?

Hi GF, you'll have to do missions in one of the warzones to gain Military rank.I suggest talison wz if your new to the game.

I read somewhere about not being able to rank up if your a mercanary? Is that right?

Also what do these WZ warzones look like on the map?

Anyone can rank up as long as you fly Navy contracts in the warzones.

They are not on the map, fly to Talison, then look for a jumpgate North North-East, that's the jumpgate to Talison Conflict.

Dock at Command Alpha and fulfill the contracts given to you there will raise your military rank.

Do Military contracts in any of the 4 Warzones. Tallison, Cerulean, Sierra or Arvoch.....

Btw, in a war zone, every contract is a military contract.

Unless you do your own bussiness contracts in a warzone, like trading fulcrum torpedos....LOL...
