That's what I'm sayin'! I repeatedly tried the "Enter Station" button once the inventory menu opened to no avail...:(

Pilot Rubber Chicken. I will try to clear up what Marvin is telling you. Yes, you must be fully docked, but once docked, you can then click on "hanger" and from that point on, you will not be susceptible to enemy guns.
Of course, you can only do that if you are allowed to dock, ie: do not have to pay a docking fee or have already paid it.
Another possibilty is if you bought a station license in which case the station would, among other things, protect you from enemy fire.
In any case, hiding in a station for any length of time is never a good idea as the enemy will soon surround you and getting away might be difficult.

Did you have the refuel/reload menu open?
If that was the case you have to close that first.;)

Thank You for your help and patience. I do understand what you are telling me. What I'm saying is there is not a docking fee i'm assuming because i'm not asked for one and am allowed to pass through the station forcefield. The tractor beam engages and the inventory screen opens automatically as per standard docking procedure. I immediately mouse over the Enter Station button and click. I cannot enter the station, and soon after am destroyed.

Did you by accident press F7, the self destruct button?
Check if you see a red countdown text "countdown to self destruct" or something similar. If this is the case you can not enter station and you will destruct. To undo this you have to as soon as you see the countdown text press ALt+F7 to stop the countdown to self destruct....this is the only other thing I can think of!;)

Sorry for not responding sooner. Finally got some time to play EM today. I Figured out what my problem was.
In my haste/panic to enter the station and get away from the barrage of incoming missiles, I totally didn't notice the docking fee notice. Also I was under the impression that the fee (if there was one) would be required before I was allowed to pass through the station forcefield. Hence, my eyes were completely focused on the "Enter Station" button as I clicked to no avail.

It's what you all have been telling me right from the start. Please don't be :o:(:mad: at me for to long. I already feel kinda dumb about this.

OUCH! That sounds like a couple weeks stuck at the nearest port with a bucket of bleach! :P:P:P

While I'm here.. I've been contemplating putting up a bit of Fan Fiction. I have one question though. Being that I do not know any military pilots IRL, I would like to know how they get their callsigns. Are they assigned to them by a higher ranking officer, or do they get to choose them after achieving a certain point in their training?

I think their team mates name them (seen it on TV) .
Normally after some stupid mistake or something like that.

That happens during their final training after the rookie has joined his new team.

 Usually, only fighter pilots have callsigns ... and, in the USAF, they're not assigned to any specific pilot. Callsigns are assigned to a flight ... usually by the Ops officer or Base Ops or whoever is in charge of scehduling the flights. And the entire flight uses the same callsign (for example, Cowboy 2 would be Cowboy 1's wingman).

;) When TDY (temporary duty), pilots can choose what's called a TDY nametag ... and wear it instead of the usual wings and nametag.

I think I may be having a Firewall problem getting onto the Remula 1 server. I looked all over for appropriate threads but didn't find any. Can anybody help or direct me to a thread? Thanx:cool:

Sadly, Remula 1 appears to be down. I'm still a noob around here so I have no clue as to MM's current condition. I do however wish him a speedy recovery. I know He is a respected member of Evochron Universe and Many sorely miss him.

I'm bringing this thread back. The opening posts and responses from Vice may be helpful to new players.
I know they helped me survive long enough to become the pilot I am today!:)
